Fly the Caribbean skies with Air Antilles
Despite being one of the newer carriers in the region, Air Antilles already has an established reputation in the industry. It was originally formed in 2002 as part of Air Guyane, but was renamed in 2016 with the adoption of its distinctive new livery - the airline still lives up to its callsign "Green Bird"! This small airline covers a widespread network of destinations, including some of the most desirable holiday destinations around the Caribbean.
This regional airline is based out of Pointe-a-Pitre International Airport in Grand-Terre, Guadeloupe, with a secondary hub at Aimé Césaire International Airport on Martinique.
A small fleet includes the ATR 72-600 and the ATR 42-500 for cross-regional flights, while the Twin Otters and the Let 410s are perfectly suited to island-hopping services and internal flights around French Guyana out of Cayenne.
The airline's core routes serve:
- Guadeloupe and Martinique (up to 12 flights a day)
- Saint Martin (up to five flights a day)
However, the full route map also includes regular services to destinations including:
- Seven flights a week to Cayenne, Dominica, Sint Maarten (Juliana) and Porto Rico
- Six flights a week to Port-au-Prince and Miami operated by Air France.
It's also a great option for some smaller, harder-to-reach islands in the Caribbean -- perfect if you're looking to discover new destinations!
Flying with Air Antilles
With no long-haul destinations, it makes sense for Air Antilles to operate principally as a single-class airline -- a sensible approach for a company that puts the service and the destination first. Leisure and business travellers can expect a comfortable flying experience with an emphasis on friendliness and practicality rather than added extras.
Practical information
The airline operates a convenient online check-in service. Travellers should note that latest check-in times vary at different airports: 45 minutes before flights to and from Cayenne and one hour before for flights to and from San Juan.
- Cabin baggage is limited to one item weighing up to 5 kg and no bigger than 55 x 30 x 20 cm.
