Introduction to easyJet
Back in 1995, Greek-Cypriot entrepreneur and businessman Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, had the idea of creating a new customer-focused, low-cost airline. This idea and the airline that was born out of it helped to create a revolution in aviation in Europe. From his concept, easyJet came into being. Later that year, the airline made its first flight, between London Luton and Glasgow. 1998 saw the launch of the company's website, and it was at that time that the airline really began to take off, no pun intended.
