Introduction to Virgin Atlantic Airways
Founded in 1984 Virgin Atlantic Airways is a British Airline with its head office based in Crawley, London. Using a mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircrafts, the airline flies from its main bases in London Heathrow and London Gatwick, as well as its secondary base in Manchester, to destinations in North America, the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Virgin planes are towed to the runway to save fuel, and have aircraft that receive 20% of their power from plant based biofuels - this is all in an attempt to reduce greenhouse gasses.
