Manchester currently has a total of 3 passenger terminals for commercial flights:

  • Terminal 1: The second largest terminal, handles scheduled and chartered flights to Europe and beyond. It's also an engineering base for budget carriers easyJet. Other airlines that fly out of Terminal 1 include AerLingus, SAS, Turkish Airlines and a fewMiddle-Eastern carriers such as Etihad and Emirates. The latter operate departures to Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively, both in the UAE. With the completion of the new expansion of Terminal 2, Terminal 1 is scheduled to be closed for future services.
  • Terminal 2 is the largest terminal, handling both scheduled and chartered flights to many Europe and beyond. The major airport extension project is expected to be completed within 2025. Currently ther terminal is the used by various airlines, including Jet2, TUI, Pegasus Airlines, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, SAUDIA, Tap Air Portugal and others.
  • Terminal 3 handles most domestic flights from Manchester and is the base for budget airlines Ryanair. It's also used by British Airways for domestic shuttles services to Heathrow and Loganair.
