Crazy Airport Names
What would you do if you looked at your plane ticket and saw that you were flying to Batman Airport? Right, laugh out loud of course! And the fun part is, it's real! There are a lot more crazy names for airports all over the world.
Read more about it below:
1. Batman Airport
This crazy name has been spotted for years, but no less funny. If you're a fan of heroes, this is an airport you should definitely see. There's just one little thing... It's a regional airfield in the east of Turkey. So if you want to get there, unfortunately it's going to take a while. Who knows, you might actually run into Batman.
2. Deadhorse Airport
It's a small airport, but the name is a bit depressing, especially if you also like horses a lot. In the state of Alaska you will find Deadhorse Airport, which is named after the town (you guessed it) Deadhorse.
3. Fak Fak Airport
This name may be a bit coarser, but in Indonesia they don't worry about that. The town where the airport is located is called FakFak. For the locals this is quite normal, but we can link it to a commonly used swear word. Luckily it is not a big airport, so the name will not offend so many people.
4. Danger Bay Airport
Airplanes and danger, hmm... It often doesn't sound good together and certainly doesn't reassure you when you fly. Yet in America you will find the Danger Bay Airport in the state of Alaska. Because the name didn't sound very good in the aviation industry, the airport has been closed and replaced by another one. Luckily there’s no danger to worry about anymore!

Hi! I'm Laura. I have a passion for travelling, so my bucket list is huge! Surely, Egypt is at the top now. What's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen? I think the Grand Canyon from the helicopter, but actually I can't choose at all :)
