Tips for travelling in Thailand
A wonderful climate, hospitable people, paradisiacal white beaches, beautiful landmarks, and the best places to stay and eat. We can make this list even longer, but our point is probably made: Thailand is the perfect destination for a great trip. Which places should you absolutely not miss? Follow these Thailand travel tips to plan the perfect trip to Thailand.
Your first stop: Bangkok
Your trip through Thailand will start in the busy and colorful capital of the country, Bangkok. Stay here for a few days and discover the floating markets, Buddhist temples and last but not least: the delicious food. There are innumerable eateries with delicious Thai dishes. There are also a number of well-known neighborhoods where you can find several eateries together. For example: Bang Lamphu, Yaowarat, Silom. Enjoy!
Beautiful nature: Chiang Mai
On to the north of Thailand; on to Chiang Mai! Tip: rent a bike to explore the beautiful surroundings. Chiang Mai has many hidden treasures that you would never get to without a bike. Looking for beautiful temples? Then go to Wat Chiang Man and Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. The former is said to be build in 1296!
Hippie paradise: Pai
Pai can be reached 80 kilometers from Chiang Mai by car. You should definitely go here if you enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in the northern capital. Be amazed by the beautiful landscape and scenery of this special hippie paradise with laid-back atmosphere!
Undiscovered nature
The northeastern province of Loei is still very unknown in Thailand. Most tourists go straight south or high north, but if you stop in Loei you will see that this area is definitely worth it. Don't miss the beautiful nature in Phu Kradueng National Park or the undiscovered culture in the temple Phrathat Si Song Rak. There is a lot to experience.
Historical splendor: Phanom Rung
The Phanom Rung Historical Park is a historical temple complex on the edge of an old volcano. The style of the temple is reminiscent of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The temple is located in southeastern Thailand, on the border of Cambodia. Climb the narrow stairs to the ruins and enjoy the beautiful view.
Wonderful beaches: Krabi and Phuket
Take a domestic flight from Loei or Bangkok (the distance is otherwise very long) and fly to Krabi or Phuket, the sunny south of Thailand! If you haven't already been able to relax before then, you will certainly be able to relax here.
Final stop: Koh Samui
The last highlight of your trip through Thailand is Koh Samui, on the other coast of the country. Beautiful rock formations and wonderful beaches alternate here. You can do good island hopping with small boats, snorkeling, and sunbathing!
