We highly recommend visiting the Debrecen Zoo, although pretty small it is a beautfiul zoo! You should also visit the HORTOBAGY NATIONAL PARK which is located just outisde of the city. You will be able to go around the park on a special train which will inform you all about the culture and history of the place but also all about the animals and plants that you will see.
Relaxation
A must-do in the Debrecen area for a relaxing time is to visit the Hajdúszoboszló spa. It is in fact Europe's largest spa complex and contains thermal baths, saunas, and an aquapark with slides. You can enjoy a variety of different pools, adventure pools, hot tubs and saunas. You can also go on the Mátyás Király Promenade for a local culinary experience.
