Things to do in Busan

No matter whether you're in town for a fleeting visit, or spending a week or more in the city, you'll find plenty to keep you occupied in Busan. This sprawling city really does have it all, with simple activities for when you're on a budget, to package tours and activity trips available for those who want to really explore without spending an age planning each moment.

Enjoy the Nightlife

Busan really comes alive at night. You'll never have any trouble finding somewhere to sip a cocktail or enjoy a chilled bottle of your favourite beer. In the city itself, bars and clubs are spread out, so expect to do some exploring to find one that ticks every box. If you're after something a little different, head to Gwangali Beach for a cluster of bars and nightclubs, along with gorgeous views of the coast at night. Foreigners Street is a go-to destination for English-speaking visitors, while Gwangalli is an ideal alternative if you're after a more laid-back evening. Alternatively, enjoy a stroll along the boardwalk in Haeundae and savour the sights while you enjoy a night cap.

Shopping in the City

Expect to find all your favourite brands and designers on offer in Busan, with a modern city centre and retail district playing host to retailers you know and love. If you're after a more authentic experience and want to shop for some souvenirs, make sure you schedule in a visit to the Gukje and Jagalchi Markets.

Enjoy the Sights with a Tour

If you've left your holiday planning until the last minute, a city tour is a great way of ensuring you get to see the sights and landmarks without too much map checking and aimless wanders. There's plenty of organisations offering tours of the city. If you're keen to get and explore the city yourself, consider a hop-off bus tour so you can get up close and personal with the place. If you'd rather see the city in a different light and beat the crowds, you'll also want to consider a night tour. For those longer stays, it's also worth looking into regional tours, meaning you can get out and explore some other historic regions in the eastern regions of South Korea.

Savour South Korean Cuisine

South Asian cuisine is beloved the world over, and South Korea is home to some of the delicious dishes around. Sample new tastes and flavours as you walk around local fish markets and hawker centres, or schedule in something more formal with a sit-down supper at some of Busan's most premier dining establishments. Get set for a new world of culinary discovery, with mouth-watering delicacies like chilli pickled cabbage, pork bulgogi and kimchi stew.

Enjoy a Spa Retreat

If you've had a long day exploring the city, treat yourself to a spot of pampering to help recharge your batteries. Vesta Spa is one such spa, situated on the beautiful slopes of Dalmaji hill, with an impressive menu of treatments and some of the most professional spa workers around.
